John Hopkins

John Hopkins, is the golf correspondent for The Times newspaper. John has covered golf for The Sunday Times and for The Times for the past 25 years.

He has attended more than 100 of the four annual major championships, 14 Ryder Cups, 12 Walker Cups and 10 Solheim and Curtis Cups. He became golf correspondent of The Times in 1993 following in the footsteps of Bernard Darwin.

John was born in Wales and now lives in the Vale of Glamorgan, although much of his time is spent travelling the world attending golf events. John played junior golf in Wales and in the annual North v South Boys matches.
