About the Book

Golf Wales is one man’s guide to some of the best golfing experiences in Wales. The man in question is John Hopkins, the golf correspondent of The Times, who was born in Wales, went to school in Wales, holidayed in Wales, and played a certain amount of golf until he was 18 in Wales. He now lives there too and is a member of Royal Porthcawl golf club.

John Hopkins has selected some of his favourite golf courses and written an essay about each of them. His writing is informative entertaining, humorous and individual.

Food writer Colin Pressdee offers a selection of some of the best places to eat and stay, close to the courses, for a variety of tastes and budgets.
