Eating Out

Golf Wales features over 70 places to eat in close vicinity to each of our featured clubs.  Many of these compare to the finest restaurants in Britain.

Each place to eat has been carefully selected by food writer Colin Pressdee based on the high quality that he expects. Featured restaurants include Lake Vyrnwy Hotel, Owens Fine Dining and The Fairyhill Country Hotel. There are four to six featured places to eat for each area many of them with equally outstanding accommodation.

Author Colin Pressdee is a writer and broadcaster who regularly presents Hedgerow Harvest on Great Food Live on UKTV Food Channel, and food items on BBC Radio Wales.

He wrote the first Dining out in Wales Guide in 2004 featuring the top 150 restaurants in Wales and is the author of Food Wales. He contributes articles on regional food to BBC Good Food Magazine.
